The Butterfly House hosts various events to help support its conservation efforts, as well as educational programs that teach community members of all ages to engage with nature. Stephen and Peter Sachs were brothers and the sons of philanthropist Louis Sachs. However, neither Louis nor his sons lived to see the renovated museum. He died during the fundraising phase, and his son Stephen took over the project for the family.

Limited space and USDA containment requirements restrict our ability to have strollers or wagons in the Butterfly House, including the Tropical Conservatory. Located in Chesterfield, the Butterfly House is a not-for-profit organization that strives to increase awareness of the natural habitat in which butterflies thrive. More exhibits and environments for exploration are located just outside the building. The two Sculpture Gardens that flank the entry plaza are inhabited with playful creatures by St. Louis artist Robert Cassilly. The creatures include a 30-foot-long “Lopatapillar” caterpillar designed for youthful investigation and an enormous mysterious Monarch butterfly with faceted eyes. There are benches throughout the facility where guests to sit to admire the beauty all around them. The Butterfly House has a limited number of wheelchairs available for guests to borrow, during their visit. If you require an accommodation, please consider using a smaller, lightweight “umbrella” stroller. The immersive nature of our exhibit areas do not easily accommodate oversize, side-by-side, double-seated, or jogging strollers.

We highly encourage all shoots to be done outdoors as it is extremely difficult to do portrait photography in our Conservatory without blocking pathways or access for our other visitors. Sands can soon be seen in Phillip Noyce’s Blood Relative and Terence Davies’ Benediction, and has just completed filming on Mike Figgis’ Mother Tongue. The Leaving Las Vegas and The Killing Fields actor recently starred in Venice title The Painted Bird with Harvey Keitel and Stellan Skarsgård, and recurred on the Netflix series What/If with Renee Zellweger.
More than just trying to reshape the global map, Catherine also wants her pioneering persona recorded in history, in hopes of shattering expectations for future generations of women. She will also star in the upcoming horror film “The Piper,” which is described as a “darker reimagining” of the classic Pied Piper tale. However, Hope believes that getting this role is instead a result of her hard work. After sending in six unprompted and different audition tapes to play Catherine, she got the call that her dream was now a reality.
Beside her role in Game of Thrones, she has appeared in Waking the Dead, Missing, and Casualty. She appeared in The Theory of Everything alongside fellow Game of Thrones actors Harry Lloyd and Enzo Cilenti, in The Testament of Youth with Kit Harington, and in the upcoming movie The Invisible Woman with Michelle Fairley. “We also didn’t want to have the score run through the whole thing all the time. In a lot of American procedural dramas, the score is in every scene and I wanted to have music only when I needed to say or evoke something,” added Lockey, who highlighted the series’ “incredible” production value. Through the fast-moving eight-episode season, we see Catherine embody the responsibilities of the title she's bestowed, displaying killer instinct as a politician, diplomat and solider on the battlefield.
Jon Avnet is directing from a script he wrote with Eric Nazarian, adapted from biographical novel by Milton Rokeach. The story follows a doctor (played by Gere) who is treating three paranoid schizophrenic patients at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in Michigan, each of whom believe they are Jesus Christ. While it is a well-worn tale, the show manages to put its own mark on history by contextualising how out of step Catherine is as both wife and leader. As a partner to Henry VIII, she is devoted and keenly aware of his frailties.
